Current District and NJ Department of Health guidelines require students with the following symptoms remain at home and obtain a negative COVID test prior to returning to school. If you have TWO of the following symptoms: fever, chills, myalgia, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, congestion or runny nose; –OR– If you have ONE of the following symptoms: cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, new loss of smell, or new loss of taste. The COVID testing requirement for illness applies to both unvaccinated AND vaccinated individuals. A rapid or PCR COVID test is acceptable for return to school. Home tests are only accepted if done under tele-med guidance or processed in a laboratory. PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU HAVE A RAPID AND A PCR TEST THAT ARE OBTAINED AT THE SAME TIME, AND THE RAPID TEST IS NEGATIVE, ALL STUDENTS MUST REMAIN OUT UNTIL THE PCR TEST RESULT IS BACK.
