Join SOCKTOBER at FRANKLIN… THIS WEEK!
1) MISFIT SOCK DAY – Friday, Oct. 23rd
Join the national event! Wear mismatched socks for the day to celebrate what makes you different and unique. It’s a fun and visible way to take a stand against bullying!
2) SOCK DRIVE – Now through Fri, Oct 23rd
Donate new men’s socks for Bridges Outreach; spread kindness (and warm, dry feet!) to the homeless. This small gesture can make a real difference to these individuals!
Join the celebration! Mark your calendar! Talk to your kids!
This is a great conversation starter! Please take a moment to discuss with your kids WHY we’re doing this and WHAT IT MEANS … how to be proud and accepting of differences … what gratitude means … how/why communities help those less fortunate. Encourage them to read the attached page and get involved!
Sponsored by Franklin Girl Scouts as part of National Bullying Prevention Month.
