“Yoga in the PARCC” will be offered to students in grades 3, 4 and 5 during their PE classes.  This will take place the week prior to standardized testing days (2/23 – 2/27) to help students develop a better understanding of Yoga as a whole. Parent Volunteers (who are certified yoga instructors) will co-teach alongside of Mrs. Burr during this event. Physically, Yoga is beneficial to children because it improves flexibility and strength. Mentally, it helps improve focus and alleviate stress.  We hope teachers, parents and most importantly our students find this unit to be helpful not only during testing but as a lifelong activity.
