Dear Franklin Families This goes to inform you that the first day of PARCC testing ran smoothly.  My congratulations to all the 5th graders.  They represented themselves well, and set an excellent example for the 4th and 3rd grade students who will test later this month.   First grade registration for Summit Public Schools is scheduled for March 4, 5 and 6 for children entering first grade in September 2015. Children must be six years old on or before October 1, 2015. Registration will take place at the Summit elementary school the child will attend. If a parent is not sure in which elementary school neighborhood they reside, they may find out by calling the Summit Board of Education at 908/918-2100, X3102. Appointments are necessary for registration and can be made by calling the schools: Brayton School, 908/273-1276; Franklin School, 908/277-2613; Jefferson School, 908/273-3807; Lincoln-Hubbard School, 908/273-1333; Washington School, 908/273-0817. Registration forms can be found on the Summit Public Schools website, www.summit.k12.nj.u. All completed registration forms must be submitted at the time of registration except for the medical forms, which must be completed and submitted to the schools by June 1, 2015.  If medical forms are completed by the March dates, they may also be submitted.
