In partnership with Junior Achievement, we look forward to hosting our first JA Day for all grades on January 15th as a full day exploration.  Through a volunteer network, JA offers programs comprised of engaging hands on activities that focus on seven key content areas: business, citizenship, economics, entrepreneurship, ethics/character, financial literacy, and career development. In order to provide this experience, we are in need of parent volunteers who are interested in receiving an hour of training on January 8th at 9:30 and delivering the program either independently, with a fellow parent, and/or partnered with a JA volunteer business leader on January 15th. If you are available to attend both the hour of training on January 8th at 9:30 and JA Day on the 15th, we would love to have you serve as a volunteer!  Unfortunately, you will only be able to serve as a volunteer for one child (if you have more than one attending Franklin) because it is an entire day’s event. There will be a General PTO Meeting on Friday, January 8, beginning at 8:30 am in the school cafeteria – coffee and light refreshments will be served.  Schedule permitting, Sgt. Proctor from the Summit Police Department will attend to discuss safety and security procedures.  In addition, we will also allow time to discuss Enrichment 2016, Musical 2017, SEF Casino Night and recruiting of officers for the 2016-2017 school year.  Open positions for that academic year will be Vice President, Assistant Treasurer and Assistant VP Communications. Younger children are more than welcome to attend.
