First grade registration for Summit Public Schools is scheduled for March 4, 5 and 6 for children entering first grade in September 2015. Children must be six years old on or before October 1, 2015. Registration will take place at the Summit elementary school the child will attend. If a parent is not sure in which elementary school neighborhood they reside, they may find out by calling the Summit Board of Education at 908/918-2100, X3102. Appointments are necessary for registration and can be made by calling the schools: Brayton School, 908/273-1276; Franklin School, 908/277-2613; Jefferson School, 908/273-3807; Lincoln-Hubbard School, 908/273-1333; Washington School, 908/273-0817. Registration forms can be found on the Summit Public Schools website, www.summit.k12.nj.u. All completed registration forms must be submitted at the time of registration except for the medical forms, which must be completed and submitted to the schools by June 1, 2015.  If medical forms are completed by the March dates, they may also be submitted. IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL 5th GRADE STUDENTS MOVING ON TO MIDDLE SCHOOL   Dear Parents/Guardians, It’s hard to believe that we are already planning for Middle School next year. The time at Franklin School is just flying by! Attached please find important information regarding immunizations required prior to starting Middle School. Please return the attached vaccination form to the Franklin School Health Office by June 12th. Parents, Please refrain from using the staff parking lot for drop off and pick ups. It is extremely dangerous, as your children use this route as part of arrival and dismissal.  Please also share this information with any and all other caregivers who are picking up and dropping off.
