Jump Rope For Heart 2015

Thank you to all the students who helped raise money for the American Heart Association last year (2013-2014).  Our school goal was $5,000.00 and we raised $7,334.70!!! This was a new Franklin School record!!! The most money we ever raised prior to this was in 2005-2006 when we raised $4,576.00.  Our top fund raiser was Katya Wardle $895.00, the second highest fund raiser was Nathan Yarnall $475.00, the third highest fund raiser was Amy Potasiewisz $290.00.  1M had the most participants so they won the extra PE period with me!

This year’s annual Jump Rope for Heart Event will be held during PE classes the week of February 9th through the 13th.  Fund raising is optional, however all students will have the opportunity to participate in the fun during PE classes! Please consider donating a small amount to the American Heart Association – the money raised goes to develop research for chronic heart conditions and it also helps families of children who were born with heart defects. Our deadline for envelopes and online donations will be February 13, 2015.

Another benefit of participating in Jump Rope for Heart is that Franklin School PE department receives $100.00 in gift certificates for every $1,000.00 raised, so last year I received $700.00 in gc to replace old PE equipment! Looking forward to another fun event!
