Franklin Elementary School PTO

On behalf of the entire Franklin Elementary school community in Summit, NJ, we give you a warm welcome to the Franklin Elementary School PTO! Our PTO comprises of a set of parent volunteers working in tandem with the principal, teachers and staff at the school to make the precious elementary school years more joyful and enriching for all our kids. Through fundraising we aim to bring a variety of programs to the kids, address the needs from the staff/teachers through mini-grants, organize events to engage all members of the school community and show our appreciation for the hard-working teachers & staff at Franklin.

Franklin Fair is one of the biggest fundraisers we organize late spring, in addition to the book fair, various promos like Minted holiday cards, school supply kits, Spirit wear etc. We organize a variety of after school enrichment options and the parent led production of a musical in winter. By sponsoring author visits and funds for additional book purchases we support the library and reading initiatives at Franklin. Through recess equipment grants and support for the outdoor learning supplies, we help the teachers augment classroom learning. The PTO also works with the school and the district to enhance the school premises with addition of equipment like picnic benches and the new sunshade. None of this is possible without the incredible love and support we get from our parent community. We are grateful to have a great pool of parents that is beyond generous when it comes to donating monetarily as well as with their invaluable time and effort in all our projects. We encourage all parents to sign up and join the PTO at whatever membership level is right for your family.
