Book Fairs and Author Visits

Books have the power to be children's greatest friend, opening their eyes to endless perspectives, inspiring leaps of imaginations, encouraging curiosity towards everything they experience and channeling their endless reserves of creativity! And no other time is more precious than elementary school years to get them started on the right foot. Franklin PTO partners with the School staff in various ways as our children get acquainted with the enchanting world of books.

Our annual book fair gives the children an opportunity to browse the latest and most popular books during school hours with evening shopping hours for the convenience of parents. Reading to the dogs is a Franklin Favorite at this time as well!

We also work with the school to bring authors in for a visit to interact with the children, introduce them to the creative process that goes into writing and illustrating books and encourage them to explore their own writing skills.
