I have a gorgeous gallery in my office dedicated to Student Artists of the Month.  I would love to continue to fill my frames with your masterpieces to display your talents! I welcome all submissions on 8 x 11 paper, either vertically or horizontally, by Friday, April 29th. I am especially in need of more horizontal submissions.   The brighter and more detailed, the better!  Please put your name and class on the back. The 5 monthly winners will be announced for the entire school and will receive art supplies and sketch pad as a prize! Looking forward to displaying your artistry to brighten up my office! – Mrs. Mirrione

Dear Parents, There is no school April 11th-15th for Spring Recess. Enjoy the extra time with your families! What is The Farm Stand? Each day, our Farm Stand includes a wide variety of cupped fresh fruits and vegetables. A trip to Pomptonian’s award-winning Farm Stand is included in the price of each of our balanced meals for student to enjoy. Please encourage your child to choose two servings with his or her entrée each day to complete a nutritious meal. This month’s Fruit of the Month and Vegetable of the Month are grapes and asparagus. On behalf of the entire PTO I would like to thank Sue Huffman for her energy and enthusiasm in pulling together Franklin Movie Night.  It was a huge success and we hope to make this an annual event at Franklin! As we approach the mid-term of Crazy 8’s, the PTO would like to thank Ajay Shroff and Kim Leonard for the numerous hours they volunteered in bringing this club to fruition. The kids are having a blast! Finally, SEF Casino night was a huge success.  Thank you to Leah Ethoven, Stacie Collins and Katrina Walsh for chairing this event.  We’d also like to thank all the many parent volunteers who transformed the Elk’s Lodge to a casino floor, who solicited the highly desirable auction items, and who set up food and cleared out the space!  A job well-done!! – Clara Jenkins, PTO President
