A Note From The Principal

    I am honored and grateful to be joining the Franklin Elementary School community as your new principal. It is truly inspiring to see the incredible partnership that has been cultivated with our PTO. I have been so impressed to learn about the positive impact this collaboration has had on our students' educational experiences and our school's learning environment.

    I look forward to honoring the traditions that have made this partnership so successful while also working together to identify new and innovative experiences for our students. Our PTO has been instrumental in funding numerous initiatives that enrich our school, including school assemblies and field trips, which provide our students with diverse learning opportunities. Their generosity also supported the creation of our outdoor classroom, the installation of a sunshade for our playground, and classroom signs that have enhanced the inviting atmosphere of our hallways. The beautiful murals created by both students and artists have also added to the vibrant spirit of our school.

    For the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, we are especially excited about the new gymnasium wall pads funded by our PTO. These will be installed along the perimeter of our gym to enhance safety and provide a versatile surface for various physical activities, reducing the risk of injury.

    Beyond these projects, our PTO provides invaluable direct support to our teachers and students. They consistently fund teacher grants, which empower our staff to implement creative and engaging classroom projects that align with the curriculum. The PTO also shows its appreciation for our dedicated staff by hosting events such as the Welcome Back Breakfast, holiday luncheons, Teacher Appreciation Week events, and spirit wear gifts. We are also incredibly thankful for their efforts in planning class parties and social events, which are essential for building a supportive and inclusive community. A special thank you to the PTO for hosting our summer Popsicles with the Principal events and the new families' playdate.

    The work of our PTO is essential for strengthening the connections between students, teachers, and families. Our wonderful PTO makes a tremendous difference, and their contributions are a big part of what makes Franklin Elementary School so special. We are profoundly grateful for this special partnership and the positive impact it has on every learner within our school community. FES looks forward to our continued partnership with our PTO!
