The district pays $800 per day for the mobile unit to come to Summit. If we don’t start filling the March 9th date, we are going to have to cancel. And we still have a sufficient amount of slots open for February 23rd. Please make an appointment through Valerie Bampe at 908-918-2100,  x3208. Anyone who wishes to be printed on February 23rd, must have their paperwork and money order back to me by February 3rd. Dear Parents, February 17 is a single session day, there will be no lunch service, and schools are closed February 20-21 for Winter Recess and Presidents’ Day. Presidents’ Day dates back to 1800. Following President George Washington’s death in 1799, his February birthday became a perennial day of remembrance. Sushi is served with a choice of wasabi, ginger, soy sauce, and CHOP STICKS. Keep an eye out for Sushi Day in Jefferson, Lincoln, and Washington schools this April. Pomptonian is pleased to be Summit’s food service provider, and we […]

Local authors/illustrators, Michael Fernandez and Kristi Drude, will talk about how they blended health, physical, and general education to create a children’s book series that promotes healthy eating habits, quality family time, and imagination. One of their stories will come to life as student audience volunteers will be invited on stage to take on characters’ roles! Check out their website: http://nandothehealthyhero.wixsite.com/nando5 If you would like to order any of their books, please turn over for the order form. Each book will be signed by both authors.
