Here are student opportunites in FLIC in the mornings!
Monday Mornings in The Space: Create and Problem Solve
The Space is a part of our library where all learners are invited to create, solve
problems, dream. Each month there are challenges available at the end of their library
period. Monday mornings The Space is open for different activities. Some activities your
child must be signed up in order to participate and some activities your child can just
show up. On Monday, October 10th everyone is welcome to join us to create a
bookmark.
Tuesday Mornings in FLIC: Library Pages Grades 3-5
What is a Library Page? It is someone who wants to do one or more of the following:
adopt a shelf in FLIC to take care of it, help write a weekly school tweet, assist in
preparing for special school events that involve the library (author visits, Read Across
America Day, and so on), create book reviews to get other children excited about
reading. Library Pages will meet on Tuesday mornings in FLIC from 7:45 AM to 8:15
AM. It is not a club so attendance is not mandatory. If your child would like to participate
we will begin on Tuesday, September 27th. Learners should enter through the ‘sneaky’
door by the big field.

Tuesdays in FLIC: Green Team Grade 5
Fifth graders have traditionally been the leaders of Franklin’s Recycling efforts. With my
help they will organize the team. We hope that all children who are interested can join
us on Tuesday, September 27th at 7:45 AM. Children who are interested in being a part
of the Green Team will not need to attend every week. Click here to complete the form

Friday in FLIC: Tech Mornings Grade 5
Does your child like working with technology such as coding, making iMovies, playing
around with circuits, and so on? Our Technology Team will meet on Fridays in FLIC
from 7:45 AM until 8:15 AM. This is not a club so weekly attendance is not required. It is
an open time to try new things. Each learner is expected to have a focus. This will be
developed with Ms. Stochaj. We will start Tech Team Friday, September 30th. Learners
should enter through the ‘sneaky’ door by the big field. Click here to complete the form

A shout out to all the children who participated in Ms. Stochaj’s summer Reading

children who made something this summer in the bonus challenge. Thanks to all who
participated. Our raffle winners received their bag of books on Friday, September 16th.
